Hello, my name is Karen Johnson. I am a child care provider licensed by the State of Minnesota. I am able
to provide care for up to 12 children at any given time from the ages of 6 weeks through Kindergarten.

I have been married to a wonderful guy, Gary, for 23 years. We have two children; our son, Jordan, is 19
years old and our daughter, Paige, is 18 years old. We live on 5 acres just north of New Market on East
250th Street and have lived in the Elko New Market area for the last 19 years.

I am the third oldest of 11 children. Being one of the oldest of such a large family, I started helping to care
for my younger siblings at a very young age. Babysitting jobs outside of our home started when I was 10
years old. Parents felt very comfortable having me care for their children because of my experience with
my own family.

Throughout my life, no matter what line of work I was in at the time, I have always tried to do the best job
I possibly could, and I do not look at caring for children any differently.

I know what an honor it is to be entrusted with the safety and well-being of your most priceless treasures –
your children.
